Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)

Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) addresses the prevention of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), and in addition, the reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery of such wastes so as to reduce the disposal of waste in Europe. Effective August 13, 2005, many of the European Union member states will be implementing regulations related to WEEE.

What is Respironics doing?

As a global company, Respironics embraces the efforts of the European Community and the WEEE Directive.

It is the intent of Respironics to be fully compliant with the WEEE Directive, to the degree within which our products are governed, by the required implementation dates.
